Lynda White has called Helena Valley Lifestyle Village home for two years now, having settled in to a one bedroom abode in early 2021, and she couldn’t be happier.

“It’s beautiful, it has a country atmosphere but it’s so central,” she says.

“It’s just seven minutes to Midland, a stone’s throw from Roe Hwy if you want to go north or south, the hills are not far and the train is close if you want to go into the city.”

All of that and more sparked Lynda’s interest in the community long before she moved in.

“I was showing my mum, who was looking at downsizing, through the Village right back when it first opened and it appealed to me immediately,” she explains.

Eventually, the time was right for her to put a deposit down.

“I feel very lucky,” says Lynda.

“The facilities are top notch; the Clubhouse is amazing and I use the pool to swim and do water aerobics.

“My home has everything I need in a lovely elevated spot and I have lovely neighbours.”

For Lynda, the environment is ideal.

“I find it very peaceful, I’ve got trees at the back of my home, the birds are beautiful and we get beautiful sunsets,” she states.

“It gives you a feeling of tranquillity and wellbeing.

“I feel very secure and the staff are so helpful; they even did a wellbeing check on me recently when my family couldn’t reach me on my phone.”
