Helena Valley Lifestyle Village is celebrating the arrival of the 303rd home to its booming community.
Village Project Administrator Tricia Lovell, who was there to welcome the delivery of the Boronia design, says nesting it into its final resting place was no simple affair. Four hours of preparations, a drive from Fleetwood Australia’s High Wycombe facility and a 300-tonne crane were required to lift the abode over existing trees.
“This was a particularly tricky installation because initially we had to push the timing back because of the Water Corporation’s on-site works,” says Tricia.
“Even then, we had issues clearing the road at the entrance to the Village due to that work, however the final lift was done in under 60 seconds – and just in time before a downpour of rain.
“Everyone did a tremendous job, including the truck driver who had to reverse the vehicle down a narrow street and around the corner!”
Project Director John Green says the final touches to the single bedroom apartment-style home and landscaping will be completed soon.
“A single female buyer put an offer on this home, sight unseen, and will be moving in after the final inspection,” explains John.
“Welcoming this home to the Village signals that we’re edging closer to our final phase beginning. From here, we have just 79 homes to bring to site. Once they’re in, our fabulous community will be complete.”
