Barrie Gear has been crowned our 2022 darts king, snaring a win in the Village’s third darts final in May.

In a rematch from last year, Barrie lined up against Jean Milne and eventually took out the title 4-1.

In the intervillage competition, our team the Dart Vaders, won 8-3 against the Vibe Vulcans at home recently.

Judith Deakin (Jeans?) stepped up as captain for the first time and Steve Wood filled in, pegging out three times!

Glen Sivyer pegged out twice and racked up the highest score of the day, ending on 131.
Following that, playing away against the Vibe Sharks, the team went down 6-5 but all played exceptionally well.
Again as captain, Judith stole the day with a peg of 96, the second highest so far in the whole competition!
Darts practice is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2.30 to 3.30pm in the Champion’s Den, upstairs in the Clubhouse. All are welcome.
