Whether our Lifestylers consider themselves sporty, handy or arty, whether they’re fabulously light on their feet or sing as sweetly as a bird – or if they simply love connecting with themselves or others – an array of weekly Village activities abound.
For those focused on staying fit and who maybe have a slight competitive edge (!), there’s a smorgasbord of offerings.
- Love the water? At the Village, there are swimming sessions twice a week for men, five weekly watercise classes for women, and a combined aqua aerobics class on a Monday afternoon, all held in our heated indoor pool. After sessions finish, the warm spa and sauna provide a welcome rest.
- Bush croquet is another regular event or there are four bowls sessions a week. We can’t wait for our new six-rink bowling green to be ready soon.
- Three time slots for table tennis and snooker are also in the weekly line-up and our upstairs and downstairs games rooms play host to these sessions.
- Darts is a big part of Village life for those with an accurate throw and we even have a dedicated darts team – dubbed the Dart Vaders – that takes part in inter-village competitions!
- Chair pilates is a popular activity that runs twice a week, yoga is on every Friday morning, and we even have an evening meditation group.
- Staying active is easy here if you like to move and groove, thanks to twice weekly line dancing sessions, a regular dance class on a Wednesday night and two Movement to Music classes a week.
- Village residents boasting artistic and creative flair are spoilt for choice, too.
- The hobby workshop gets fired up weekly for those who enjoy working with their hands!
- Our green thumbs gather two mornings a week to share their love of gardening and breathe the fresh foothills air.
- There are amazing arts and craft groups that meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, and there’s even a skilled patchwork and quilting crew.
- If singing is your thing, the Village choir on Friday is a must!
- Our poetry and story buffs recently shared their inspiration with kindred spirits, too, so stay tuned in case it becomes a weekly affair!
Not so interested in creating or competing?
Never fear because the Village is awash with other fun weekly activities, such as games and cards sessions, and a social gathering from 6.45pm every Friday night where sharing a laugh is guaranteed.
