In 2023, Helena Valley Lifestyle Village is marking a decade since its official opening and the birth of its treasured, still growing community.

Village Project Director John Green says the fabulous milestone is cause for celebration and reflection.
“The Village has certainly changed and evolved since the first homeowner settled in here in July 2013, however, the essence of what makes it special hasn’t,” he explains.

“Looking back at photos of the vacant land, it’s beautiful serenity is palpable, and that feeling remains today.

“As you drive into the Village, there’s a wonderful sense of peace and belonging that you can’t buy or create; it’s just there.”

And while some spaces have transformed in the past ten years, what they gave rise to has not.
“Today’s arts and crafts centre and table tennis area started out as the Village’s small social hub,” says John.

“It was in that space, nicknamed the ‘cubby house’ back then, that so many friendships formed in that first 12 months or so, and these bonds are now cherished.”

The first years saw rapid growth in Lifestyler numbers and much development.

“It was a hive of activity as we opened our bowling green and built our incredible Clubhouse – including the swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym, games room, kitchen, BYO café, library and admin area – in two stages,” says John.

“As we progressed, we created our current family centre and added our hobby workshop and community garden to the existing space, which already included a caravan and boat storage area.”
By 2020, the next amazing stages of the Clubhouse – featuring a main hall, second storey sunset lounge, treetop terrace and games room – were complete.

When finished, the Village will be home to 380 residences, as well as a dedicated function centre (including a family centre), outdoor swimming pool, full size bowling green, half court tennis court, pickleball court and mini golf course.

“We believe our Village is amongst the very best, if not the best lifestyle village in WA,” states John. “It’s been a wonderful journey so far and we’re very excited about the next ten years and all that it will bring.”
