The Social Club decided to inject some festive flair into its recent monthly dinner event, adopting a Christmas in July theme for the July 19 gathering. Guests were invited to decorate their tables with yuletide trimmings and don their finest outfits for the evening.

As expected, the main attraction was the sumptuous traditional Christmas menu, complete with king prawn cocktails, honey leg ham, seasoned turkey breast, roasted root vegetables, steamed greens and pan juice gravy.

And who could resist the sweet plum pudding with brandy sauce, fresh fruit-topped pavlova and fruit mince pies? Not many of us!
