It’s so nice to see progress being made on the upgrade of the Goldfields water pipeline that has impacted the completion of our Village for so long now. In case you don’t know, the existing pipeline runs diagonally through the Village and it’s being replaced with a larger pipeline along our northern boundary. This allows us to join our internal roads to improve traffic flow and install the final homes within the Village.

I’m delighted to say that the new pipeline has now been completed and commissioned, and the old pipeline has been decommissioned! The final step is removing the old pipeline which starts this week. It will be 11 years in December since we first signed the agreement with Water Corporation for them to install a new pipeline and remove the old one, so it’s such a relief to be almost at the finish line.

For the first time ever Water Corporation is ahead of schedule which is great but has put us in the awkward spot of bringing things forward and compressing programs which is a different type of problem, but a good one to have! They are now projecting they will be finished in the Village at the end of October this year – so we are now lining up our civil contractors, our home builder and our long list of very patient buyers based on the new schedule.

I’m also pleased to say that the refurbishment of the Function Centre is going well and is on schedule to be ready for occupation in the first quarter of next year. The Function Centre will provide a main function room, a separate family centre area with an outside swimming pool and BBQ area, along with a multi-purpose consulting room, all of which perfectly complements the full-size bowling green we already have operational.

Sales remain very strong having equalled our all-time highest sales year ending 30 June 2025. There are now only around 20 home sites available out of our 380 total homes, when the Village is complete. If you’ve ever thought about downsizing and enjoying our $8 million worth of facilities and a friendly, secure and fulfilling lifestyle, then now is the time before everything is sold.

Until next time!
