Three Village Lifestyler Workshop members have kickstarted an inspiring long-term project building nesting boxes for birds. With so much concern about bird numbers declining due to a loss of habitat and food sources in WA, the trio is highly motivated to make a difference. Les built two nesting boxes for Western Rosella parrots while Phil and Theo combined their skills to cut out, assemble and paint two owl boxes. Their creations were delivered for installation to the residents of a 10 acre bush block in beautiful Bickley Valley. With plans to construct more bird boxes underway, anyone with an interest is invited to join in.
